As an outdoor company, we know the impact of out of home advertising because we see the results every day. But that doesn’t mean we don’t love good research that really demonstrates its power!
Researchers in the Netherlands studied what it is exactly that makes outdoor advertising so effective at boosting brand awareness and product recognition. By analyzing 187 outdoor posters, they studied the relationship between brand recognition and the creative appeal of outdoor design. The measured factors such as length of message, color, tone and style, to determine how these factors influenced consumer opinions. The results spoke to just how effective outdoor advertising is at influencing consumer attitudes and behavior.
