Think Outside the Board
Billboards are really a unique form of advertising. Not only are they the largest medium, but arguably the loudest, too.
When it comes to billboard design, the bigger the better. The form really allows for interesting usage of the space, and lots of room for creativity. You could say it holds the pole position in advertising. We are always inspired by these big ideas, so we’ve collected some of our favorite designs that “think outside the board” and use the billboard space in a creative and unique way.
Burkhart Advertising | We weren’t kidding when we say we’re inspired. We’ve done a big thing or two for our own brand.
Ohio Farm Bureau | As Hoosiers who know their way around a field, we love this execution for the Ohio Farm Bureau.
McDonalds| A great installation and relevant message.
St. Luke’s University Health Network | A simple yet creative way to use the billboard space (and a little bit more).
104.7 The Fish | A relevant and eye-catching execution for the holiday season.
Barratta’s | Is this giant forkful of food making anyone else hungry, or just us?
SGS Industrial Supplies | Some pretty crafty handiwork when into this retail billboard.
Marathon | We can’t show some creative outdoor without tooting our own horn. Or filling up the car that it’s attached to.
Potawatomi Zoo | Another from the Burkhart archives. We had to convince the client we weren’t just monkeying around.
