Outdoor advertising has been around for ages, but it continues to grow and change. One thing that remains the same is the great value it delivers. Technology. Out of home companies are continuing to expand their digital technology. This has been amplified recently by the integration of location-based technology. There’s also an increased focus on expanding the use of state-of-the-art digital screens that feature higher pixel densities and LED technology.
Innovation. Ads are now able to track their viewers. A recent Mazda ad loaded with crowd detection and facial recognition technology counted the number of shoppers that stopped to look at the ad.
Competitiveness. Despite the rise of mobile and social media advertising, out of home advertising continues to hold its value in the marketplace. Another recent study found that outdoor advertising was at least as effective, if not more effective, than online or digital advertising.
Cost-Effectiveness. Out of home advertising continues to rank as one of the most cost-effective forms of promotion as measured by Cost Per Thouand views.
