Success Story: City of Plymouth

The City of Plymouth is in the heart of the Midwest, and is home to a variety of sought-after tourist locations, including the Marshall County Historic Museum, Swan Lake Resort, Ancilla College, Marshall County Blueberry Festival and historic downtown. Check out the City of Plymouth’s success story on how the use of OOH advertising increased awareness and tourism in their small town.

Client Objective
With the main goal of increasing tourism to the city, the campaign was used to promote awareness and all the great things Plymouth has to offer to visitors.

Solution Strategy
Brand awareness was developed with the new slogan, “Positively Plymouth,” and the story of shopping, dining, and arts in the City of Plymouth was shared on a large scale. Specific locations for the boards were chosen surrounding the Plymouth area to attract passerbys on local highways. Plymouth is know for being the crossroads in northern Indiana with major state highways and it proved greatly beneficial to advertise on those main roads from all directions.

Outcome
With the advertising activity, people within the community have shared their awareness of the boards. The surrounding communities have expressed interest in the campaign and discussed building a similar presence to develop their own tourism.
